The Achilles Rail Portal has proven to be the number 1 website for purchasers in the Rail Industry since its introduction in 2001. It has over 1,500 users from hundreds of organisations in the Railway supply chain, including all of Link-up’s subscribers.

Many companies have asked how they can market themselves to these users and for this reason Achilles have created this new service. MARKiT allows organisations to display their own marketing information to all of the Achilles customers and anyone else viewing the Achilles site.

MARKiT customers will be provided with an electronic template into which they can enter their text and graphics for display as a web page. This new service is designed to allow suppliers to the rail industry to compliment their Link-up registration information in a less structured environment than the pre-qualification questionnaire. Suppliers are able to choose which types of information they wish to include, examples of the most common topics are shown below.
